 So I am going to be unenployed after today for two weeks, while my show is on hiatus. Here is some of my to-do list.

Swim under the surface.

Get lost in my imagination.

Make memories.

Ponder mysteries.

Not worry.

Snap.

Write.

Pour out my soul.

Get into trouble.

Explore.

Make new realizations.

Laugh.

Sleep.

Run Wild.

Make some music.

Road Trip.

Never Say Die.

We are all gonna die.

Well I really don't know, but things do seem to be heading in that general direction. 

Especially with everything dying lately, which they say is normal....

A Bit of Whimsy

I am feeling like a dusky sky, burnt on the horizon and fading to black. Twinkling in the beginning of darkness.

Bullets + Arrows.

So lately I found myself really into "cowboys and indians" inspired looks. I have been feeling really drawn to the desert. I love the natural materials and textures involved like turquoise and other precious stones, feathers, leather, wood, claws and teeth. I love how it is inspired and built around nature. Some of it is very functional for survival out in the wild. Here are some pictures I rounded up. I included some Claudia Cardinale from "Once Upon a Time in the West". I love her, she's gorgeous and it's such a great film.

Fuck off Monday.

I have just been loving Michelle Williams lately. Loved Blue Valentine. I can't imagine what she has been going through the last couple years. She is just an inspiring combination of strength, vulnerability, grace and sass. I found this a while ago...but really feeling it today. Thought I would share it. I have to be at work indoors on this lovely day, so here is my 'fuck you'. I am pulling out the spunk today.

I love LOVE love this video. I always adore Devendra Banhart and his classic eclectic style. But that girlfriend of his Rebecca Schwartz is like a modern combination of Brigitte Bardot and Anna Karina. On that note I am so in love. In love with Oliver Peoples. Devendra and Rebecca.

This reminded me of the other Oliver Peoples' video"Les enfants sennuient le dimanche" or "The Children are Bored on Sundays" starring Elijah Wood and Shirley Manson.

Anna Karina.

I am so endlessly inspired by the gorgeous Anna Karina. She was the lover, wife and muse to Jean-Luc Goddard(just to clarify I say 'was' only because they have since divorced). A heavy influence to French New Wave, she is effortlessly graceful, fun and charismatic. A flare for mixing disheveled and chic. She is adorable and sexy whether she is dancing, singing, pouting, smoking...she alludes us with mystery. She embodies my favorite 'classically radical' style.
